Method

Heat a nonstick skillet or a ridged grill pan over high heat. Season steak with black pepper and Chinese Five Spice seasoning. Sear steak until well browned on both sides, but medium rare inside, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer steak to a plate and allow it to rest for 10 minutes. To make the dressing, place garlic, cilantro, jalapeno, lime juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey in medium bowl and whisk until well blended, about 1 minute. In a large bowl, toss green onion, cucumber, bell pepper, and coleslaw with 1/2 of dressing. Slice steak diagonally across grain into 1/4 inch thick slices. Cut each slice into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Mound salad equally on four individual serving plates. Top each serving with 1/4 of steak strips. Drizzle remaining dressing over salads. Serve immediately.
