Baked Spaghetti


Cooked spaghetti is layered with a tomato sauce and cheddar cheese, then topped with a condensed soup mixture in this version of baked spaghetti.



Ingredients:

  • 1 C. chopped onion  
  • 1 C. chopped red/green pepper  
  • 1 Tblsp. margarine  
  • 1 Can (28oz)diced tomatoes,undrained  
  • 1 Can (14oz)drained mushrooms  
  • 1 Can (2 1/2oz)sl.ripe olives(drain)
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano  
  • 1 # gr beef brown & drain(optional)  
  • 12oz spagetti, cooked  
  • 2 C shredded cheddar cheese  
  • 1 Can cr of mush soup,undiluted  
  • 1/4 C water  
  • 1/4 C parm cheese  

Method

In large skillet saute onion & peppers in margarine till tender. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, oregano. Add ground beef if desired. Simmer uncovered for 10 min. Place 1/2 of spaghetti in a greased 9X13 baking dish. Top with half the vegetable mixture. Sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat layers. Mix the soup and water till smooth; pour over casserole. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered @ 350 for 30-35 min or till heated through. ENJOY!!!
