Better Sloppy Joes

Lean ground beef is simmered with canned tomatoes and chopped veggies, and seasoned with balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, chili powder, and hot pepper sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoon molasses
- 1 14.5 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 4 soft hamburger buns, lightly toasted

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef, salt, pepper, chili powder and paprika. Cook until very little pink remains on beef. Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic then cook until vegetables are soft and translucent, 5 minutes. Drain. Add remaining ingredients (except buns) and stir to combine. Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes. Taste for seasoning and adjust, if necessary. Divide filling among hamburger buns and serve.
