Cabbage-Ground Beef Soup

Chopped cabbage, celery, canned tomatoes, kidney beans and seasonings are mixed with cooked ground beef to make this soup.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 of a medium head cabbage, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, peeled and chopped
- 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1 16 oz can red kidney beans
- 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 28 oz water

Method
Brown ground beef in a (cast iron) skillet; drain. In a large soup pot add remaining ingredients and ground beef. Bring to a boil, then cover and cook for 30 minutes. Add more water if necessary.
