
This layered dish combines cooked ground beef, cheddar cheese, peas and prepared au gratin potatoes, for a variation of the standard shepherd's pie.
Brown meat and season to taste. (I like to add onion, garlic and hamburger seasoning.) While meat cooks, prepare potatoes on stove top according to package directions. When meat is done, drain and pour into small glass baking dish. Sprinkle on some of the cheddar cheese, then a layer of green peas, and a little more cheese. Finally add potatoes, making sure it covers everything. Add another layer of shredded cheese; bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
