Cheryl's Easy Korean Barbecue Steak


Beef flank steak or short ribs are marinated in a soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and green onion marinade (with optional wine) before grilling.



Ingredients:

  • 3/4 c. soy sauce
  • 2-3 Tb. dark (toasted) sesame oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tb. toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. dry wine (optional)
  • 2 lbs beef flank steak or short ribs

Method

Combine all ingredients and marinate overnight in a deep bowl or zipper-lock plastic bag, turning occasionally. Grill over medium-hot coals to desired doneness.

Notes: Any wine will do, but I recommend Chinese white wine.

Number of servings: Serves 4-6
