Chili Habanero

A can of diced tomatoes with habanero peppers spice up this traditional beef and bean soup.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, cut to desired size
  • 1/2 large sweet onion, cut to desired size
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 3 tbs chili powder
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 15 oz can chili beans in sauce
  • 1 15 oz can hot chili beans in spicy chili sauce
  • 1 10 oz can Rotel hot diced tomatoes with habaneros
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
 
Method

In 5 qt pot, fry ground beef, green pepper, sweet onion, garlic cloves, cinnamon, tumeric, cumin and chili powder in olive oil until cooked through. Add tomato sauce, chili beans, tomatoes, habaneros, and apple cider vinegar. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
