Crockpot Chopped Beef

This twice-cooked beef roast has onion and BBQ sauce for flavor, and can be used as a filling for sandwiches.
 

Ingredients

  • 4-6 lb beef chuck roast
  • Meat seasoning (of your choice)
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 16 oz bottle barbecue sauce (your choice)

Method

Season chuck roast. Place meat and onion in crock-pot and cover with water. Set crock-pot on low and cook meat for 8-10 hours. Remove meat and drain off all water. Place meat back in crock-pot and pour entire bottle of sauce over meat. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Remove meat; drain off fat from sauce; shred roast and mix with the sauce.

 

Notes: Use for chopped beef sandwiches or as Sloppy Joes. Freezes well. It's a big hit with kids.

 

Number of Servings: 10-20 depending on how used
