Cube Steaks with Mushroom Soup

Pieces of cubed steak are browned, cut up, and combined with a gravy of cream of mushroom soup. The mixture is baked and served over mashed potatoes.
 

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • Cube steaks
  • Flour
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • Mashed potatoes

Method

Pour a small amount of oil in fry pan. Turn cube steaks in flour to coat both sides. Place in fry pan and let cook 10 minutes on both sides. Drain. Cut into pieces. Combine cream of mushroom soup in a bowl with milk and mix with a spoon. Pour over meat in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for an hour or until soup becomes thick. Serve with mashed potatoes. Pour meat and soup over potatoes.
