Dee's Island Burger

Plenty of exciting tastes explode in your mouth with this flavor packed burger. Fresh garlic, basil, parsley, habanero powder and molasses are just a few of the flavors.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound fresh ground sirloin
  • 1 cup finely chopped baby bella mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cuban pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ground habanero pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh purple basil
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon molasses
  • 2 teaspoons Vidalia onion mustard
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Vidalia onion, chopped
  • 8 freshly baked large focaccia rolls
  • 8 colby jack cheese slices

Method

Mix all ingredients, except rolls and cheese slices, in a large mixing bowl. Mix together firmly by hand, until blended, then form into palm sized patties. Cook on a medium flame grill until desired taste. Bring patties to cooler side of grill, add cheese, then cover 20 seconds. Serve on rolls with preferred condiments.
