Easy Summer Steaks

These easy, marinated steaks are seasoned with oil, vinegar, cumin and several herbs. You can also grill the steaks on your outdoor grill.
Ingredients
- 6 beef steaks, cut about 1 inch thick
- Marinade:
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 6 cloves garlic, minced

Method
Place the steaks in a large bowl and add the oil, vinegar, cumin, basil, thyme, marjoram, tarragon, and minced garlic. Cover and marinate for 1 to 2 hours in the refrigerator. Preheat oven to broil. Place steaks on broiling rack in large baking pan. Broil for about 5 to 10 minutes per side or until done to taste. Broiling time will depend on thickness and how "done" you like your steaks.
Notes: Note: I had the butcher at my local market pick out a large piece of beef (roast beef) and cut it to the desired thickness.
