|1– 1½ lb||London Broil, beef flank steak|
Onion, thinly sliced
Dry Red Wine, ⅓ cup
Red Pepper Flakes
Salt, garlic powder, pepper
Salt, pepper, garlic
Chives, fresh parsley, fresh basil to garnish
Clean and pat meat dry; put in a baking dish or plastic bag to marinate. Combine wine, a couple of dashes of soy sauce, thinly sliced onions, dashes of salt, garlic powder, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pour over meat. Marinate for 6 to 24 hrs in frige. Grill on med-high heat until has nice grill marks and is medium-well, about 20-25 mins. (Quick tip: put in microwave for 2 mins afterwards for people who like it well-done.) Slice thinly.
Potatoes: Cut into small pieces, place on a cookie sheet with sides, in a single layer; sprinkle with salt, pepper, and finely minced garlic, and drizzle with olive oil. Bake until done. Turns out great. Garnish meat and potatoes with herbs.
This meal can be done so many ways; add anything to the marinade to make it your own; serve with a salad.
