Grilled Meatloaf Burgers

A meatloaf mixture--with egg, rolled oats, and seasonings--is shaped into patties and grilled. The burgers are topped with cheese and served in buns.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground hamburger
- 1 Tablespoon minced dried onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- American cheese slices
- Burger buns or Kaiser rolls

Method
Mix all ingredients (except cheese and buns) lightly. Form into 4 balls and flatten into patties. Grill over medium-high heat, turning once, until well done. Add a slice of American cheese and serve on hamburger buns or Kaiser Rolls
Notes: When serving these burgers try substituting spaghetti sauce for ketchup and mozzarella for the American cheese.
