Hamburger and Macaroni Soup

This hearty soup is tasty and fulfilling. All of the flavors come together for a delicious meal.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup of macaroni or pasta small shells
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, chopped
  • 1 can of whole mushroom, chopped, reserve the juice
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of V-8 juice
  • 1 can of tomato soup
  • 3 tbsp of cheese whiz
  • 1/2 tsp of basil
  • 1/2 stp of tyme
  • 1/2 stp of oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Brown the ground beef and strain the fat. Add 6 cups of water to a large soup pot. Add all of the ingredients, except for cheese whiz and macaroni, reserve the mushroom juice. Bring the soup to a boil and then boil lightly on med and until vegetables are done. Add macaroni and cook until done. Finally, add the cheese whiz and stir until melted.
