
This Mexican pizza is prepared by layering shredded tortilla shells with taco meat and seasonings and baking in an 8x8 casserole dish.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef, drain. Add taco seasoning and water; simmer as directed on package. In a deep glass oven proof 8 x 8 dish, place half the floured tortillas in layers to cover bottom. Add a thick layer of beef on top of tortilla shells. Add half tomatoes on top of beef mixture. Then add the remaining flour tortillas to cover. Spoon salsa on top of tortillas. Put dish in oven for 20-25 minutes until bubbly. Remove and add shredded cheese and then return to oven to broil until cheese is bubbly and just a light brown. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes. Put tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream in a dish so guests can add toppings to their liking.
