Try this recipe if the family is asking for something new for dinner. It sounds like a great creation.
To make filling, in a skillet on medium heat, brown ground beef. Drain and discard fat. Add onions to meat and cook until soft and clear. Add garlic, tomato sauce, parsley, Parmesan cheese, seasoning salt, cinnamon, pepper and ginger. Continue to cook uncovered for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. To make bread, in a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut shortening into flour mixture until you have pea size pieces. Add milk and knead dough. After kneading, form into 6 equal sized balls and let rest 10 minutes. Pat or roll into flat rounds and deep fry until golden. Top fry bread with filling mixture.
