Ju Ju Beans


Beef and bacon, plus ketchup, sugar and a little vinegar, flavor this mixture of butter beans, kidney beans, chick peas (garbanzo beans) and pork & beans.



Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb ground beef  
  • 1/2 lb bacon (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)  
  • 1 16 oz can butter beans (drained)
  • 1 16 oz can red kidney beans (drained)  
  • 1 16 oz can chick peas (drained)
  • 1 regular sized can of Campbell Pork and Beans (sauce and all)  
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar  
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar

Method

Brown the first three ingredients in a fry pan; drain off fat. Add rest of the ingredients. Mix well and pour into a casserole or baking dish and bake, covered, at 350 degrees for one hour.
