A stuffing made of chopped portabella mushrooms, cheeses and green onion is hidden in a meat mixture that combines ground beef, turkey and sausage.

  • Servings: 6 - 8


1 lb Ground Extra Lean Ground Chuck
1 lb Ground Turkey or Chicken
1 lb Bulk Turkey Sausage
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
6 drops Liquid Smoke
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 Large Portabella Mushroom, chopped
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 cup Shredded Jack Cheese
2 Green Onions, sliced thin (include some of the green tops


Mix first 7 ingredients together. Make into 12 or 16 thin patties, about 4" to 6" in diameter. Combine stuffing ingredients. Place about 2 Tbsp stuffing in the center of one patty and spread it around a little. Place a second patty on top of the first; seal it all the way around. You may need to reshape it a bit. Grill or broil to desired doneness.

Helpful Tips:

Serve this with a tossed green salad topped with croutons.
