Meatloaf Patties

These patties are huge and filling. Just like a slice of meatloaf only with delicious Meunster cheese melting out of the middle.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp stone ground mustard
  • 1 tsp meat tenderizer
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp beef bouillon granules
  • 3 slices Muenster cheese, halved

Method

Prepare ground beef in bowl by sprinkling with meat tenderizer, pepper, onion powder, garlic salt, cayenne, 1/2 tsp of bullion granules and mix well. Add mustard, oats, milk and stir until all ingredients are combined. Separate beef mixture into five balls. Flatten out and place 1/2 slice cheese folded over into each patty. Form patty around cheese. In a large skillet, over medium high heat, cover bottom of pan with a layer of water. Sprinkle 1 tsp bullion into water. Place patties into skillet and brown each side for 4-5 minutes. Once water begins to evaporate, add more to cover bottom of pan and mix in remaining 1/2 tsp bullion granules with patties. Cover and reduce to medium low heat. Cook for another 20 minutes or until juices run clear. Serve with your favorite side dishes.

Notes: Feel free to change the cheese to your liking.

Number of servings: 5
