- Servings: 4-8
|2 cups||Elbow Macaroni|
|4 cups||Boling, salted water|
|Salt & Pepper|
|1 lb||Ground Beef|
|2 cans||Tomato Soup|
|American Cheese--enough To Cover Top of Casserole, estimate 6-8 ounces|
Add macaroni to 4 cups boiling, salted water and cook till tender but firm.
While macaroni is cooking, brown 1 pound of ground beef and half of an onion (chopped) seasoned with a little salt and pepper. When there is no pink left in the meat add 2 cans of tomato soup. Let come to a boil. Once macaroni is cooked, add to the tomato sauce. Turn off the heat. Layer american cheese on top of casserole and allow it to melt.
I usually serve this with green beans and rolls--homemade biscuits are good.
