Quick and Easy Steak and Mushroom Soup

Cubes of beef sirloin are coated with a flour mixture with plenty of cayenne pepper, browned, and cooked in beef broth with sliced fresh mushrooms.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into small bite size pieces
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • Spicy steak seasoning (dry)
  • 1 tsp ground red pepper
  • 2 32 oz boxes beef broth
  • 1 large pkg sliced mushrooms

Method

Add oil to pan and heat. Mix flour, salt, pepper, red pepper and steak seasoning. Toss chopped steak in the flour mixture then place in pan and brown slightly. Add beef broth to soup pot with steak; add mushrooms. Cook until bubbly and serve.

 

Notes: A good "sick day" soup. Serve with chunks of hot French or Italian bread.
