Sausage Casserole


Ground beef and pork sausage are cooked with onion and sweet pepper, then combined with chili, chili powder, and corn. This mixture is combined with cooked noodles, spread in a baking dish, and topped with cheese before baking.



Ingredients:

  • l 1/2 pounds ground beef  
  • l pound breakfast sausage (pork sausage)
  • l small onion
  • l small bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • l can chili, no beans
  • l can cream-style corn  
  • 1 12-ounce bag wide egg noodles  
  • 16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

Method

Cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and bell pepper in pan until done. Drain and return to pan. Add the chili powder, chili, corn, and about 1 cup of the cheese. Stir until heated through. While meat is cooking boil the egg noodles and drain. Mix meat and noodles together and place in a baking dish. Cover with rest of the cheese and bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted and dish is heated through.
