Savory Meatloaf
This ground beef and green onion mixture has croutons, stewed tomatoes, and generous amounts of Worchestershire sauce, liquid smoke, chili powder and thyme. It's baked then covered with a blend of ketchup, basil, and more Worcestershire.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 5 green onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups croutons or crumbled crackers
- 1 14 1/2 oz. can stewed tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Liquid Smoke
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 Tbsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. Worchestershire Sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp. dried basil

Method
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix first 10 ingredients together for loaf. Press into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Cook for 30 minutes. Cover with mixture of ketchup, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire and basil; cook about 10 to 15 minutes more or till meatloaf is done.
Notes: May add garlic, if desired, for extra kick!
