Savory Pot Roast

This roast will take 10 minutes of actual work and the rest of it is taken care of by your crock pot. What a dream.
 

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lb boneless chuck roast
  • 2 14 oz cans beef broth
  • 3 packets brown gravy mix
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Salt and pepper both sides of roast. In large skillet, drizzle enough cooking oil to just coat bottom of pan. Brown roast on both sides then place in a 3 quart crock-pot. Mix gravy mix and beef broth together until well blended, and pour over roast and cook on low for 7-8 hours.
