This casserole is sure to fill anyone up. It is filled with ground beef, potatoes, and crescent rolls to top.
Cook beef in a medium saute pan until no longer pink. Crumble as it cooks. With a slotted spoon dip out beef into a bowl and discard any fat. Add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper to beef and combine well. In the saute pan add the butter and oil allowing to heat up for a minute on medium high. Add potatoes, onion and remaining salt and pepper. Cook on both sides for 7-10 minutes until turning brown. Add 1/2 cup water and place lid on and simmer for another 15 minutes. Then place cooked beef, mushrooms and soup on potatoes then lay out the cheese. Open up crescent rolls and roll out each one and lay on top of potato casserole with the points going towards the center. Place lid on and simmer on low for 7 minutes until crescents are done. Sprinkle with paprika.
Notes:
Great quick supper. You can serve with a nice crisp salad.
