Sperr's Ground Beef and Potato Tacos

Ground beef, chili powder, ground peppers, jalapeno, cumin, garlic, tomatoes, onion, and "hot" paprika are used for this taco mixture, plus diced potatoes.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Small Onion (Diced)
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon New Mexico Chile Powder
  • 4 1/2 Teaspoons Ground Cumin
  • 5 Cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground White Pepper
  • 5 Teaspoons Hot Hungarian Paprika
  • 1/2 Cup Cilantro (Chopped)
  • 1 Tablespoon Mexican Oregano
  • 2 Tomatoes (Diced)
  • 1 Jalapeno (Finely Diced)
  • 1 Large Potato (Diced)
  • Tortillas

Method

1. Brown Ground Beef and Onion together, cooking over medium-high heat until juices are evaporated. 2. Add all spices, tomatoes, jalapeno, and potato, mixing together well 3. Add 1 cup water and let simmer uncovered until all water and juices are evaporated or absorbed. Serve with warmed flour tortillas or hard taco shells along with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, salsa and sour cream for condiments.
