Surprise Meatballs
Submitted by: madcook11727062
The surprise inside these meatballs is a cube of cheese. A meat mixture of egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire and wine is wrapped around cubes of Velveeta and baked. Serve with rice or noodles and your favorite beef gravy.
Ingredients
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup Worchestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup red wine (not cooking wine; a good sweet wine works better)
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 pound Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes)
- Hot cooked rice or noodles
- Beef Gravy (as desired)
