5 star rating

The marinade for these steaks is prepared with tequila, horseradish, plenty of garlic and lime zest. On the grill, this steak can't be beat.

Ingredients
  • 4 ribeye steaks, about 1 inch thick
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp lime zest
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish
  • 2 bay leaves

Method

Mix tequila, pepper, horseradish, bay leaves, lime zest and garlic in a heavy plastic bag. Add steaks and rotate to distribute mixture evenly over steaks. Let sit in refrigerator over night. On a preheated grill, cook steaks, brushing with remaining marinade, until done. Turn once during cooking time, about 12 minutes. Season with salt and serve.
