New York beef strip steaks are cooked in and served with a soy sauce-honey sauce seasoned with fresh ginger and crushed red pepper.

  • Servings: 4

Ingredients:

½ cup Low-sodium Soy Sauce
¼ cup Honey
1 Tbsp Minced Fresh Ginger
½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
4× 8-oz New York Beef Strip Steaks
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 Tbsp Peanut Oil
Stir-fry Vegetables, optional

Directions:

Mix soy sauce, honey, ginger and pepper flakes for the teriyaki sauce in a small bowl, then set aside. Pat steaks dry with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper. Heat oil in saute pan over medium high, swirling to coat bottom of pan. Saute steaks 3 minutes per side for medium rare. Add teriyaki sauce to pan and reduce to a syrup consistency, about 3 minutes. Remove steaks and sauce to rest and keep warm. Wipe out the pan to prepare vegetables. Serve steaks with its sauce and stir-fry vegetables, if desired.
