Texas Tater Casserole


A mixture of ground beef, onion and garlic is cooked and combined with cheddar cheese soup, nacho cheese sauce, corn, salsa, and chili powder. Frozen potato nuggets (Tater Tots) go on top, sprinkled with cheddar.



Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef  
  • 1 large onion, chopped  
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced  
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup  
  • 1 jar of nacho cheese sauce  
  • 2 cups of frozen corn  
  • 1/2 cup salsa  
  • 2 tsp. chili powder  
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper  
  • 1 package frozen potato nuggets (Tater Tots)  
  • 2 cups shredded cheese

Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook beef, onion and garlic until beef is well browned; drain well. Stir in soup, nacho cheese sauce, corn, salsa, chili powder and pepper. Spoon into ungreased 9X13 baking dish. Top with potato nuggets. Bake for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese; return to oven for 10 minutes.
