A small amount of cream cheese is stuffed into these burgers along with mushrooms and cheese. The topping of cheese and dressing is perfect.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 lbs ground sirloin
  • 2 cup natural shredded colby and mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cup shredded low moisture part skim mozzarella cheese
  • 2 8 oz pkgs sliced baby bella mushrooms, separated and cooked
  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, slightly frozen
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 4 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 tsp garlic salt with parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp onion salt
  • 4 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp pickle relish
  • 8 American cheese slices
  • 8 mozzarella cheese slices
  • 4 tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 hamburger buns

Method

Preheat grill to 350 degrees. Combine beef, sirloin, shredded cheeses, baby bella, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, dried parsley, egg, garlic salt and onion salt. Mix until combined very well. Remove cream cheese from freezer and cut into 2 1 inch slices and into 8 small cubes. Make hamburgers patties with a small indention so a small amount of cream cheese can be placed there. Cover cream cheese with some hamburger mixture. Make sure the cream cheese is covered very well and is not showing. Make sure that the top of the hamburgers are not round, but are flat, so they are not puffy when cook. Place on grill and cook 8-10 minutes on each side. After turning the first time, add a slice of mozzarella cheese, then American cheese and let cheese melt well, then place on buns. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup and relish to make dressing. Top buns with dressing mixture, sliced tomatoes and mushrooms.
